Well its time to turn the compost again I do it every couple of months. The chickens love it as they eat all the grubs and have a good dig about. Last year I bought some reusable grow bags. The idea is that you fill them with home grown compost and plant your tomatoes as usual. The compost is nice, rich fine and well rotted. We put all our peelings, veg matter, chicken manure cardboard with no printing on it etc. It seems to work. At first composting seemed daunting but all we really needed was a compost bin (one of those round ones) and that was it just put stuff in it and it worked!
